The history of the DAYCO brand began in 1905, when the Dayton Rubber Company was founded in the USA. The European division was located in Italy. DAYCO came to Europe in 1993 from America, buying from Pirelli a factory located in Chieti, near Pescara on the Italian Adriatic coast. The plant produced belts. Pirelli was getting rid of non-core production and the American company bought it. This is the beginning of the history of the European DAYCO.
DAYCO is part of one of the world's largest automotive component manufacturers, Mark IV Automotive, which in turn is part of the Mark IV Group multinational corporation. Mark IV Automotive is a leader in the development and production of powertrain systems, air supply and engine cooling systems.
DAYCO Aftermarket today offers such a range of products, covering the entire fleet of vehicles throughout Europe and far beyond.
DAYCO manufactures all types of automotive drive belts and drive components for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Today the production program offers more than 200 items of timing belt sets and tensioning pulleys. DAYCO also produces fuel hoses and radiator connectors.
Particular attention is paid to the quality of materials for the production of belts, timing belt sets, tensioners, dampers and hoses. The quality of DAYCO products is confirmed with ISO 9002 and special certificates from Audi, Ford, GM, Renault, etc., the world's leading car manufacturers. (more than 30 OEM customers in total).
