Pierburg is the brand of the German company Pierburg SA, part of the KSPG AG group, a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of automotive components.
Pierburg, together with another famous German company Kolbenschmidt, is a part of Rheinmetall Automotive AG.
Pierburg was founded in 1909 in Berlin as a steel trading company, then started to produce carburetors from 1928, soon becoming almost the only supplier for all German car companies and many global vehicle and engine manufacturers. In 1986, the company became part of the concern Rheinmetall. Decades of accumulated experience, as well as in-depth innovation and widely recognized competence in the field of engines allows Pierburg to constantly develop and produce the best components.
